Their decisions are complicated by the emergence of a mysterious new Batman, who is clearly well-trained, has connections to Bruce Wayne, and favors a brutal style of justice. See? Here’s why I gave up reading most comics a long time ago.
JASON TODD FUCKING DIED.
Not some “Leave open enough doubt that he died that, when we bring him back, we can explain it away” kinda death, but a “Joker beat him to death with a tire iron and then blew up the building his dead body was in” kinda death.
The Death of Jason Todd was a BIG FUCKING DEAL.
So, in order to bring him back, I’m sure there are parallel Earths or multiple dimensions or time travel or some other crappy schtick.
And that’s unnecessarily sad.
